Scarring

Scars are a result of our skin’s natural defense system. If the skin is compromised by laceration, burning or picking, its defences will immediately begin forming new cells. Scars occur when new cells develop too fast or too slowly. Cell proliferation is regulated by Langerhans cells, which aid in the immunity of the skin, and the production of enzyme collagenase. If one of these elements is missing or damaged, then abnormal cell proliferation (cell turnover) is likely.

Acne scarring can be devastating to some especially when you've worked so hard to clear your acne but are still left with marks from the past. We use a combination of microneedling, chemical peels, and IPL to transform and reduce the appearance.
